I got to work with kids today. I was able to share my ideas with some people who will carry them and share them in the cradle of civilization. I created a presentation for child advocates from around the state. I achieved more today than I did in the first half of my life, but the most wonderful thing to happen to me was reading this section of a longer post from the amazing Sandy Scharnhorst... "Today the Voice spoke. You know the Voice--the one that tells you the truth whether you want to hear it or not. Yes, that one. It said simply, 'What CAN you do?' After a minute, I replied, 'I can grow vegetables.' And the Voice said, 'Then do that.'" I stared at those words for what seemed to be for ever and realized that all of the stuff I thought was impossible is now the stuff that "I CAN do." Thank you Sandy for all of these gratitude tears I can't seem to stop producing.
