Today I need to give a shout out to my boy Giz! Hey man, here we are... 2015! The things we've been through! I know that there was a time that you might have felt like I wasn't there for you. It's because I wasn't. I was in a place where all I worried about was myself, and for that i am so very sorry. But... We are here and not then. Now... Right here I feel blessed to know I have you in my corner, on my side and in my life. Years ago we might have had some great and crazy times, but I'm looking towards the new times ahead. Had an opportunity to hang out with some kiddos in a 4th/5th combo drama class today. There was a young man who had a pretty defined personal wall against what he thought was or wasn't socially acceptable for someone like him. When I was given the chance to talk to the kids I talked about my difficulties as a child to feel like I belonged to a group. When the activities started to happen again this young man participated in the same activity he wouldn't before. I'd like to think that part of the reason for that is because I showed him it was better to be a part of something rather than shut ourselves out of a group. #showup

Had such an amazing weekend surrounded by phenomenal people from all corners of our community, of all ages and all with powerful messages that made me think, laugh, cry and cheer.
